Peas and Phyllis Diller (the Hen)
For some, St. Patrick’s Day means green beer, corned beef, and kissing the Irish. For me, the holiday is a hallmark of green things to come in the garden. “Plant peas by St. Patrick’s Day” has been a longstanding tradition in garden lore.
Curious to know what and when to plant? I share varieties of sugar snap, snow and edible shelling peas on the Cooking Light blog. And say goodbye to our comedic chicken, Phyllis Diller.
